Working Assets Launches FlowersForChange.com with Organic Bouquet

San Francisco, CA (July 25, 2005) Working Assets, the long distance, wireless and credit card company that donates a portion of its revenues to progressive nonprofits, has partnered with Organic Bouquet Inc. (www.OrganicBouquet.com), the world's first online organic florist.

Through its relationship with Organic Bouquet, Working Assets is now offering a full line of eco-friendly flowers on its Web site, FlowersForChange.com. What's more, two percent of the purchase price of the flower orders will go to the nonprofit organizations Working Assets is supporting in 2005, at no additional cost.

"FlowersForChange.com is a fresh new idea that we think our customers and organic-loving shoppers will appreciate," said Laura Scher, CEO of Working Assets. She added, "Organic flowers are just one more way that Working Assets is helping to make the world a cleaner, greener, more sustainable place to live."

Organic floral is the newest category in the $230 billion LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) market, in which there are reportedly 50 million Americans who make environmentally based purchasing decisions.

The U.S. organic market alone is estimated to grow to more than $30 billion by 2007. U.S. sales of organic flowers in 2003 grew 52 percent, to $8 million. Sales are expected to grow 13 percent annually through 2008, according to the Organic Trade Association.

"Our flowers are grown in a manner that is gentle on the environment and safeguards the well being of farm workers, wildlife and ecology," said Organic Bouquet CEO Gerald Prolman. "These principles are closely aligned with the values of Working Assets members, who vote with their dollars to help make a difference in the world."

Since 1985, Working Assets has generated over $47 million for progressive nonprofits, including Greenpeace, Oxfam America, Rainforest Action Network, Human Rights Watch, Planned Parenthood, ACLU and People for the American Way, among many others.

Organic Bouquet: Established in 2001, Organic Bouquet (www.OrganicBouquet.com) pioneered the organic flower market. As a leading voice in the organic movement, it is raising public awareness of critical environmental issues, using sustainably grown flowers as a catalyst for change.

Working Assets: Established in 1985, Working Assets (www.WorkingAssets.com) helps busy people make a difference in the world through everyday activities like talking on the phone. Every time members use one of Working Assets' donation-linked services (Long Distance, Wireless and Credit Card), the company donates a portion of their charges to nonprofit groups working to build a world that is more just, humane, and environmentally sustainable.
